FARGO (KFGO) – The Xcel Energy foundation is marking 25 years of community investments in North Dakota.
The foundation says it has invested $240,000 in nonprofit organizations including the NDSU foundation, and employees also volunteered for more than 1,300 hours across the state.
“NDSU Foundation is deeply grateful for the enduring partnership of the Xcel Energy Foundation,” said John Glover, president and CEO, NDSU Foundation. “For decades, the investments have expanded opportunity, fueled innovation and empowered generations of NDSU students to transform their potential into impact. The continued commitment strengthens NDSU and the future leaders we serve.”
Since the foundations establishment in 2001 Xcel says it has provided grants and volunteer support to strengthen local communities, education, and environmental projects across North Dakota and seven other states including Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, South Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin.
