FARGO (KFGO) – Former North Dakota State and current Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Easton Stick returned to campus to host a football camp for local college and high school quarterbacks.
The 50 quarterbacks went through drills and talked about the fundamentals of the position. Stick says he also wanted to teach the quarterbacks about the leadership that comes with playing the position.
“We talked about fundamentals, let’s get better at playing the position, but we also are going to talk a ton about leadership and what that looks like in their schools, their communities and just kind of the platform you have,” Stick said.
Stick was impressed with how the talent in the area has grown.
“Even in the four years we’ve done this, to see like the level, it gets better every year which is awesome. It’s a testament we’ve got a ton of high school coaches out here, a bunch of small colleges in the area that have come back and coached so it’s a testament to to those guys, they’re doing something right, because the kids are getting better. It’s a testament to the area, not only quarterbacks but you look at guys that are going to play all over the country.” Stick said.
Moorhead Spuds Quarterback Jett Feeney says the camp gives him a new perspective.
“I get to learn a lot from Easton obviously and all the different quarterbacks, all the different coaches, it’s great able to learn all these different strategies,” Feeney said.
The 2026-2027 season will be Stick’s eighth in the NFL, during his time as a starting quarterback at NDSU, Stick led the Bison to a 49-3 record.
