LAKOTA, N.D. (KFGO) — A 93-year-old Lakota, North Dakota man was killed in a car crash when he failed to yield to oncoming traffic, the North Dakota Highway Patrol says.
The crash happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 2 and Highway 1 just after 4:30 p.m. Friday.
The Highway Patrol says the man stopped at the stop sign, but then crossed Highway 2 and failed to yield to oncoming traffic. His car was struck by an SUV. The woman driving and two juvenile passengers were not hurt. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The North Dakota State Patrol, Nelson County Sheriff’s Office, Lakota Ambulance, and Rolla Ambulance responded.
