Drive-Thru Drama: Teen Slapped with Hefty Fine for McDonald’s App Mishap!
Who knew ordering a McDonald’s could land you in hot water? A Saskatoon, Canada teen found himself in a pickle when he was in the McDonald’s drive-thru and opened the McDonald’s app, he was just trying to cash in on a well-deserved free lunch courtesy of rewards points. But little did he know, a watchful motorcycle cop behind him had his sights set on him.
As the teen rolled up to the window, eagerly anticipating his golden arches fix, he was greeted not by a friendly cashier but by the long arm of the law. The officer swooped in, accusing him of using his phone while behind the wheel. And the cop cited him to the tune of $580, all for trying to score a free meal.
But hold the fries, Legal experts have weighed in, arguing that since the incident occurred on private property, the ticket may not have been warranted. Despite this, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have commented on the matter.
