Starting a new job is always a little stressful, you’re probably (hopefully) wanting to make a good impression. HuffPost has revealed some things you should never do on your first week (some of these arguably… you should never, ever do, regardless of how long you’ve been there!)
Here are the things they say are not a good look:
- you’re late
- you’re a know it all
- you don’t play the “new” card – use this as a strategic advantage and talk to people/ introduce yourself as the new person.
- You don’t follow the dress code
- you overshare
- you gossip
- you don’t touch base with your manager
