Everyone wants a special name for their baby, but has this Alabama family gone too far? A new mother claims the hospital would not put her chosen name on her birth certificate, and that she would have to go to court to settle the issue. “We picked out a unique name that means a lot to us: Xfrgolszzzxy (we say it like Zurf-golz-ee),” the mom said in a social media post. “I know it’s different and that was the whole point.” However, a hospital worker claimed that names with X followed by a consonant are not allowed. Unfortunately, the new mom did not receive much support in the comments. “If I was that baby, once I aged to an adult, my first stop would be to legally change my name to something my parents wouldn’t know and start a new life,” one reader said.
