RiverArts Fishing Clinic Participants and Volunteers Needed
The RiverArts Fishing Clinic is Tuesday, July 23 from 5:30 – 8 p.m at Viking Ship Park in Moorhead. This FREE event is as a part of Moorhead Parks and Recreation’s RiverArts. Pre-registration is not required. This event is in partnership with FM Walleyes Unlimited and Moorhead Parks and Recreation.
Catch a big one from the Red River! Participants are encouraged to bring a fishing pole (but a limited number will be available for use). Fishing license not required for youth 15 and under. This is a catch and release program. Bait will be supplied.
Learn some new skills by participating in the FUN interactive educational stations such as casting, knot tying, fish identification and more! All (adults included) are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Dress for the weather. Adult supervision is required.

The Red River is still moving too fast for safe beginner paddling so we’ve changed another Red River Paddling Excursion to an Urban Hike. This Animals and Habitats leisurely paced 3 mile hike is Wednesday, July 24 5:30 p.m. beginning at the Hjemkomst Landing Rental Shack. All sorts of animals use the Red River for a source of food, water, and shelter. Join the Red River Zoo to see animals and signs of where they live and play along the route.
