Priest Bites Woman in Dispute Over Communion Wafer
A Florida priest is at the center of controversy after biting a woman during a communion service at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. The incident occurred during Sunday mass when Father Fidel Rodriguez allegedly bit the woman’s forearm as she attempted to take a communion wafer.
Witnesses reported that the woman had sought to receive communion but engaged in a verbal altercation with Father Rodriguez. When she reached for the wafer herself, the priest reacted by biting her arm.
The Diocese of Orlando has defended Father Rodriguez, stating that his actions were an attempt to prevent what he saw as the desecration of the Holy Communion. The Diocese emphasized the sanctity of the sacrament and the need for reverence during its administration.
Currently, no charges have been filed against Father Rodriguez, but the state attorney’s office is reviewing the case.
You know you’re in Florida when the church service comes with a side of vampire action. I guess Father Rodriguez took “This is my body” to a whole new level.
