MINNEAPOLIS – “No war against Russia” – that’s the latest message from a Minnesota-based anti-war group.
Sarah Martin with Women Against Military Madness says she doesn’t condone Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but argues that the U.S. and NATO defied a 1991 promise by moving close to Russia’s border with bases, missiles, and military exercises. She compares it to Russia theoretically putting bases and missiles along the Mexican border and in Cuba, and then holding war exercises across from our borders.
The group had a rally over the weekend in Minneapolis’s Uptown neighborhood.
