FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) – Moorhead Police have identified the driver who died in a fiery crash last week.
The victim was Matthew Pitzel, 61, of Moorhead. Police say Pitzel experienced a medical emergency while driving, which caused him to crash into a fence and tree before his car started on fire.
Pitzel was trapped in the car when it started on fire and taken to a hospital after firefighters got him out, where he died. The crash happened October 21 in the 2200 block of 34th street south at around 6:30 p.m.
