(KNFL/KFGO) – Fargo-Moorhead closes out the regular season winning two straight against the Milwaukee Milkmen. The RedHawks will face off against the Winnipeg Goldeyes in the first round of the 2026 Miles Wolff Cup Playoffs. The season finale would see the RedHawks hand the start to Bryce Brassfield, who would go head to head with Milwaukee’s starter Christian Young.
RedHawks outfielder Michael Snyder would tally the first RBI of the game in the top of the second inning. Snyder would bring in Brian Fuentes to score on an RBI double to give the RedHawks a 1-0 lead.
Dillon Thomas would add another run for the RedHawks in the top of the sixth, coming from a solo home run to dead center field. This hit would also be Fargo-Moorhead’s 1000th hit of the season as a team.
RedHawks pitching would hold the shutout through the whole game, tallying 14 strikeouts on the way.
RedHawks starter Bryce Brassfield would go 4.0 innings, giving up no runs on 1 hit, walking 1 and striking out 5. Reliever Kolby Kiser would pick up the win and closer Justin Lopez would grab the save.
Milkmen starter would be charged with the loss, going 6.0 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, walking 1 and striking out 4.
