MOORHEAD (KFGO/KVRR) – New candidates are joining races for Moorhead City Council ahead of Tuesday’s 5 p.m. filing deadline.
In Ward 1, Ben Livingston and Sarah Opitz join council member Ryan Nelson and Dalton Swanson. In Ward 2, council member Heather Nesemeier is being challenged for the seat by Chris Snyder, And in Ward 4, Rick Rask is joining the race for Chuck Hendrickson’s seat, who is not seeking re-election.
Previously announced candidates include Charley Johnson and James McKinstra in Ward 4. Council member Deb White will face Evett Ellis in ward 3.
Delrae Williams and Lisa Borgen are running for mayor. The general election is November 3.
