FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) – Fargo Mayor Josh Boschee is making his pick for deputy mayor. Boschee has recommended to the City Commission that Commissioner John Strand is chosen for the position.
Strand was first elected to the Commission in 2016, and has been reelected twice.
He has co-owned the High Plains Reader Newsweekly since 1996.
Former Deputy Mayor Denise Kolpack lost the mayoral race to Boschee. Her City Commission seat, as well as that of fellow mayoral candidate Dave Piepkorn, will be filled by Nicki Gullickson and Chad Peterson.
Boschee will be sworn in Monday.
