Young Thug surprised his longtime girlfriend Mariah the Scientist with an onstage marriage proposal during his Hometown Hero benefit concert in Atlanta on Tuesday night (December 16). The 34-year-old rap star got down on one knee, held out the ring, and asked the 28-year-old R&B singer, “What you say?” Amid cheers and a “Will You Marry Me” graphic flashing on the jumbotron, Mariah happily accepted, exclaiming, “Put it on,” while adding, “I guess I’m getting married!” before kissing Thugger. The couple, who began dating in 2021 and have collaborated on several songs throughout their careers, had reconciled after a brief breakup earlier this year.
