Joey Takeo Kainoa Arakaki was arrested at San Mateo County courthouse on Wednesday after security discovered three baggies of fentanyl and used foil in his possession. He told deputies he forgot the drugs were on him. A courthouse guard who found the “white chalky substance” experienced heart palpitations and light-headedness, requiring medical treatment before recovering. Arakaki faces charges for bringing contraband to jail and committing a felony while on bail, with bond set at $20,000. He was previously arrested November 24 when deputies found 2.7 pounds of fentanyl worth $40,000, methamphetamine, mushrooms, 500 plastic baggies, and $3,500 cash in his BMW near a Millbrae gas station. The Honolulu resident told authorities he bought the drugs in Oakland to sell in Hawaii. (Story URL)
