A sheep wearing a diaper traveled aboard a PKP Intercity train between Krakow and Warsaw, sparking controversy after video went viral. Parliament member Mariusz Krystian from the Law and Justice Party filmed the animal walking through train aisles. “I am currently on a train to Warsaw. And I wonder, is this still a passenger train, or a cattle car,” Krystian wrote. The lawmaker criticized both the owner and train service, calling it animal abuse. “Many of you wrote that the animal was taken care of! Nonsense! It was scared and stressed out. This is what ‘modern’ animal abuse looks like,” he posted. Krystian told Wadowice24 that sheep suffer in solitude, as herd animals. “This causes enormous suffering for such an animal,” he said. PKP Intercity permits animals on trains if they wear diapers and have proper tickets. (Story URL)
