A 28-year-old postal worker from Biloxi, Mississippi faces public criticism after admitting he took money from his 4-year-old son’s savings account. Christian appeared on the October 29th episode of Financial Audit podcast, where he revealed he “raided” his child’s account containing “$8K-$10K” to pay off credit card debt from family vacations to Disney World and the Bahamas. “I figured I valued building memories with him and taking him on experiences — it was worth it,” Christian said on the show. He called the withdrawal “a zero percent loan” and added, “I figured he’s 3, 4 now. He won’t know.” The money included gifts from friends and relatives intended for the child’s future. Christian made the decision without his wife’s permission, who “doesn’t approve” and recently rejoined the military to help pay their $90,000 debt. (Story URL)
