FARGO (KFGO) – Eastbound traffic on Interstate 94 slowed to a crawl through Fargo over the noon hour following a two-vehicle crash involving a 91-year-old driver.
According to authorities, the 91-year-old man was merging onto the interstate when his vehicle struck another car. His vehicle then collided with the concrete median barrier, blocking traffic and triggering midday backups.
Emergency responders reported no major injuries from the collision. The 91-year-old driver sustained a cut to his hand and arm but refused medical treatment at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured.
Police cited the older driver for a moving violation for failure to maintain a single lane or making an unsafe lane change. Lanes were reopened to normal traffic after crews cleared the wreckage.
