FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – Fargo police officers and firefighters are running in the September 11 Memorial 5k in downtown Fargo Friday honoring the first responders who died 25 years ago.
It will begin at 7:46 AM, the same time the first tower of the World Trade Center was struck by an airplane.
441 first responders were among the 2,977 people who died in the September 11th attacks in New York City.
Police say the traffic impact is expected to be minimal with the private, escorted group.
The route begins and at Fargo Fire Station 4 and goes:
- East on 1st Ave. N. to Roberts St. passing Fargo Police Department headquarters
- South on Roberts St. to NP Ave., passing Fargo Fire Department headquarters
- West on NP Ave. to 10th St. N.
- North on 10th St. N. to 1st Ave. N.
- West on 1st Ave. N. back to Fire Station 4
