GRAFTON, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota State Patrol is investigating a crash on I-29 in Walsh County sending three people to the hospital Monday night.
The crash happened around 9:20 pm 10 miles east of Grafton.
The state patrol says a pickup was driving north on the right lane of I-29 when it rear ended a car causing the car to go into the left lane.
An SUV traveling in the left lane was struck by the car.
The driver of the car was a 55 year old man from Winnipeg and had two juvenile passengers with him.
The man and one passenger were taken to a hospital in Grand Forks with non-life threatening injuries.
The other passenger was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the pickup and everyone in the SUV were not hurt.
Along with the state patrol, Walsh County Sheriff’s Office, Grafton Volunteer Fire Department, and Valley Ambulance & Rescue responded.
