VALLEY CITY, N.D. (KFGO) – A man from Richfield Springs, New York is in the Barnes County Jail after reportedly kicking a woman and holding a knife to her throat in Valley City.
Court documents say earlier this month a woman told Valley City Police that Jeramy Guyer, 38, held a knife against her. The woman told police that Guyer became angry because she was texting a friend he did not want her talking to. He then allegedly told the woman they would both die that night, and pulled out a knife, causing her to believe she was going to die.
Court documents say Guyer reportedly held the knife to the woman’s neck before pulling it away. The woman also told police at one point Guyer kicked her in her right knee, causing her to go to the hospital.
Police say they searched property at the woman’s home reportedly belonging to Guyer and found a knife with a 3.5 inch blade.
Guyer is facing felony charges of terrorizing and reckless endangerment. He made his initial court appearance Thursday morning.
