SAINT PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – Minnesota’s election security navigator says the cyberattack believed to have been carried out by Iran on water systems in the state didn’t also target Minnesota’s election systems.
The Secretary of State’s Office isn’t aware of any other malicious cyberactivity related to Tuesday’s primary election.
“We will continue to monitor for any signs of a threat and be ready to respond to keep our election systems secure,” Bill Ekblad said.

As of 11:30 AM on Monday, August 10, 206,196 Minnesotans have voted early which is a record for a primary in a non-presidential election year.
