Billy Joel: And So It Goes has earned a nomination for a 2026 Humanitas Prize, placing the HBO production among this year’s recognized documentary projects. The newly announced nominees highlight film and television writing that examines human experiences with depth and care.

Directed by Susan Lacy and Jessica Levin, Billy Joel: And So It Goes premiered at the Tribeca Festival in June 2025 before arriving on HBO the following month.
The winners will be announced during an awards event in Hollywood on September 9, 2026.
