FARGO (KFGO) – Minnesota Congresswoman Angie Craig is asking republicans in the federal government to reflect on if president Donald trump is fit to run the United States.
“It’s time for my Republican colleagues to be honest with the American people, the President seems very confused about who world leaders are, he seems very confused just about every day items he’s making a decision on. I think it’s time for them to wake up and say ‘is he really up to running the country?'”. Craig said.
She says she was one of the first Democrats in the United States to call for then President Joe Biden to not seek reelection in 2024 and those surrounding President Trump are unqualified for the positions they hold.
“He’s surrounded himself with a level of inept that is dangerous at this point.” Craig said.
She also expressed concerns about the war in Iran, saying Americans don’t want another forever war in the middle-east. Craig remained firm on her stance that the war is illegal.
Craig is currently running against Minnesota Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan for the Democratic U.S. Senate nomination in the primary election. Craig says she’s the best choice with fraud as a key issue for Minnesota voters.
“At the end of the day, the Lieutenant Governor, she’s not ready for this job and Republicans are salivating to run against her because they want to make this race in Minnesota a referendum on fraud.” Craig said.
The Minnesota Primary Election is August 11th, Craig and Flanagan are running for the seat currently held by Senator Tina Smith, who is retiring. Craig made her comments on KFGO News and Views with Joel Heitkamp.
