HARWOOD, N.D. (KFGO) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is letting residents know about a pair of black bear sightings in Cass County this month.
A bear has been spotted in the Harwood area and the rural Amenia area. The Sheriff’s Office says they’re unaware if it’s the same bear or multiple bears that have been spotted.
Out of an abundance of caution, the Sheriff’s Office says residents should be on the lookout for bears and stay away if they spot one. They’re also asking parents to remind their kids to let an adult know if they see a bear.
Garbage cans should also be closed and if possible, stored inside.
