Australian group The Tullamarines stepped into the spotlight with a performance of Fleetwood Mac’s enduring hit The Chain during a recent appearance on the Like A Version series.
The performance marked the band’s first time taking part in the long-running segment. Members of the group explained that choosing a song as widely recognized as The Chain came with some hesitation, given the track’s reputation and lasting popularity. After considering the challenge, they decided to move forward with their own interpretation.
Rather than dramatically reworking the song, The Tullamarines stayed close to the original structure while adding subtle touches that reflected their sound. The result balanced respect for the source material with the band’s own musical identity.
Originally released on Fleetwood Mac’s 1977 album Rumours, The Chain remains one of the group’s most celebrated recordings and has continued to find new audiences across generations.
The cover introduced listeners to The Tullamarines’ approach to classic material while highlighting the enduring appeal of one of rock music’s most recognizable songs.
