FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) — Work underway on the final phase of road construction on 32nd Avenue S. in Fargo.
This year, the construction is focused east of University Drive, with work being done from 15th Street S. to the Red River. Construction crews will be replacing aging infrastructure, enhancing sidewalks and improving the storm water system.
Contractors working on the project are being incentivized to complete the work early.
“We hope to have everything open by Oct. 9th. And then we are incentivising the contractor to hopefully get this done sooner,” said Fargo Traffic Engineer Eric Hodgson. “So, if the contractor is able to complete all the work and have everything open by Sept. 9th, they do receive incentives in a monetary value in order to do that.”
