(KNFL/KFGO) – Today is the final day of the 2026 NFL Draft, and an NDSU alumni has been selected. Bison wide receiver, Bryce Lance, was drafted with the 136th pick in the 4th round, by the New Orleans Saints. He’s spent 5 years with NDSU, while redshirting his first year. Bryce Lance in his college career, racked up a total of 2,157 receiving yards, including two seasons where he had over 1,000 yards receiving. In his 2024 campaign, which was his breakout year, he had 17 receiving touchdowns, and 1,071 receiving yards. He had 25 career receiving touchdowns at NDSU.
Lance is a 2 time FCS champion, a 2 time First-team All-MVFC(Missouri Valley Football Conference), as well as a 2025 AP First-Team FCS All-American. He also was a finalist for the 2025 Walter Payton Award. Bryce’s older brother, and former NDSU quarterback, Trey Lance, is currently on the roster for the Los Angeles Chargers. Bryce Lance also becomes the second NDSU wide receiver to be selected in the NFL Draft in the last four years, with the other receiver being Christian Watson of the Green Bay Packers.
