A popcorn machine caught fire Friday morning at Regal Cinemas 16 on Tiny Town Road in Clarksville, Tennessee, forcing the theater to temporarily close. Clarksville Fire Rescue confirmed the incident on Facebook, stating “Upon arrival there was a fire in a popcorn machine inside the building.” Firefighters extinguished the blaze and moved the machine outside while checking for occupants. Video sent to WSMV4 shows flames erupting from the machine and smoke filling the concession area. No injuries occurred during the incident. Fire officials did not release the cause of the fire. The theater’s website indicates the location remains temporarily closed. This marks the second popcorn machine fire at the same theater this year. In March, firefighters extinguished another popcorn maker fire before it could spread, safely evacuating employees and removing that machine from the building. (Story URL)
