A raccoon dropped through the ceiling at Grand Geneva Resort’s Ristorante Brissago Sunday night around 7:30 p.m., biting a guest who tried to capture it. Walworth County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Lake Geneva dining room incident. Wildlife control expert Matt Snorek with Guaranteed Gone Wildlife Control said “We don’t know how this raccoon got there” and described it as “quite a large raccoon” that was “brawling, scratching, hissing” for 25 minutes before his arrival. The bitten guest was hospitalized while officers used a catch pole to restrain the animal. The raccoon was euthanized and sent to Madison for rabies testing. (Story URL)
