A California woman’s home has been inundated with unwanted Amazon packages over the past year. The San Jose resident, who wished to remain anonymous, reports receiving numerous boxes containing car seat covers from the brand Etkin, sold by Chinese vendor Liusandedian. Apparently, the woman’s address was listed as the company’s return address. Reviews of the seat covers cite issues with fit, high return costs, and failure to receive refunds. As one resident noted, “Oftentimes, what it costs to return it is about more than 50% of what they paid for it.” Despite Amazon’s assurances to resolve the matter, the packages continued arriving. The company has since visited the home to collect the unwanted deliveries and take steps to permanently address the problem. This incident mirrors similar cases of brushing scams, where sellers send packages to random addresses to boost numbers. (Upi)
