A bear in Colorado inadvertently locked itself inside a parked car, leading to significant damage to the vehicle’s interior. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office shared body camera footage showing a deputy arriving at the scene in the foothills. The deputy safely opened the car door using a rope, allowing the bear to escape. Prior to its release, the bear had wreaked havoc inside the car, leaving a trail of destruction. The sheriff’s department issued a cautionary message on Facebook, advising residents to keep their vehicles locked and refrain from leaving snacks inside, as bears have a keen sense of smell and may be tempted to enter vehicles in search of food.
