A new sporting event is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas next May: The Enhanced Games. The competitive sporting event allows athletes to use performance-enhancing drugs and therapies that are banned in most other games. Over the course of four days, participants will race, lift, and swim using pharmaceutical enhancements. “We are creating a new category of human excellence,” promotional materials read. “A world where performance-enhancing drugs are used safely, openly, and under medical supervision.” Champion swimmer James Magnussen is expected to participate, and more athletes are currently being recruited.
