Florida Man Arrested After Threatening Woman Over Lemonade Stand Refill
A Florida man took sour to a whole new level when he was denied a free refill at a children’s lemonade stand—and responded by threatening to beat up a woman.
Clearwater police say 45-year-old Steven Cusumano stopped at a neighborhood lemonade stand around 7:30 PM on Tuesday, where he bought a cup of lemonade. But when he was told he couldn’t get a free refill, he allegedly squeezed the situation for all it was worth—grabbing a woman’s wrist, getting into a fighting stance, and threatening to beat her up before storming off.
Officers quickly tracked down Cusumano, who, according to reports, fully admitted to the incident but blamed the victim for “talking sh*t to me.” The complaint doesn’t specify the victim’s age, but Cusumano, a transient with an extensive criminal record, now faces felony battery charges.
His rap sheet includes multiple prior battery convictions, plus arrests for trespassing, drug possession, assault with a deadly weapon, and disorderly conduct.
He’s now back in county jail on a $5,000 bond, likely realizing that crime doesn’t pay—but lemonade sure does.
