Man Gets Shot by His Own Dog—Yes, Really
A Memphis man is recovering after his own dog accidentally shot him—because apparently, bad gun safety and a hyper pup don’t mix well.
The man and his girlfriend were asleep when their dog, Oreo, decided to jump onto the bed. Unfortunately, a loaded gun was also on the bed, and Oreo’s paw got stuck in the trigger—sending a bullet straight into his owner’s thigh.
The couple says they freaked out at first but can now laugh about the bizarre accident. They also say they’ll be more paw-sitive about keeping their guns on safety from now on.
While Oreo won’t be facing charges, he’s definitely in the doghouse.
