How Drunk Do You Have to Be… To Mistake a Bible Study for a Human Trafficking Operation?
A Virginia man had one too many drinks and took his amateur detective skills way too far. Instead of minding his own business, 48-year-old David Campbell of Stafford barged into his neighbor’s Bible study, convinced he had uncovered a human trafficking ring.
Fueled by alcohol and a questionable sense of justice, Campbell not only broke into the gathering but also nearly hit an ordained minister and threatened to punch another attendee. He then called the police, complaining about cars being double-parked and insisting that the home was part of a criminal operation.
By the time officers arrived, Campbell had taken his investigation to the middle of the road—literally—demanding they identify everyone inside. Unfortunately for him, the only crime being committed was his own. Authorities say the entire incident was caught on surveillance video (which has yet to be released).
As for Campbell, he was arrested on multiple charges, including breaking and entering, and is currently being held without bond.
