SAVAGE, Minn. – A Savage couple was convicted last week of kidnapping and deprivation of parental rights after kidnapping their own baby.
Amanda Wamack, 31, and Zachariah Whitehead, 30, previously brought their 7-week-old child to an emergency room with a fractured arm, saying it could have happened when changing clothes.
The incident was reported to Scott County Child Protection, and the child was put into their grandmother’s care pending investigation.
Wamack and Whitehead had taken the child back last Monday, stating a disagreement with the law and the grandmother rescinding her rights.
