Man Arrested for Vandalizing Cop Car with His Own Name
A Florida man, identified as Enderlin Leonce, found himself in hot water after allegedly scratching his name onto a Broward Sheriff’s marked patrol car. The incident, which occurred in Margate, FL led to Leonce’s arrest, with authorities booking him on a criminal mischief charge.
According to reports, a witness observed the vandalism and promptly alerted law enforcement. Upon investigation, officers discovered Leonce had etched “the name is Enderlin Leonce” onto the driver-side hood of the patrol vehicle using a metal tool.
Further inquiry revealed that Leonce resided in the vicinity of the incident. When officers visited his home, he reportedly confessed, stating, “I did it. I committed a crime and I should be going to jail.” Additionally, he was found in possession of metal joint pliers with green paint transfer, further linking him to the offense.
Law enforcement determined that Leonce had intentionally and maliciously damaged the deputy’s car, resulting in an estimated $1,000 in repair costs. Following his arrest, he was released from custody without further incident.
