Waffle House Server Gets a Larger-Than-Life Tip!
An Oklahoma woman has raised eyebrows by asserting that the stolen vehicle she is accused of pilfering was bestowed upon her as a “birthday tip” by a former patron of the Waffle House.
Law enforcement officers received a tip regarding a missing white Jeep Liberty. After responding to the alert, officers intercepted the vehicle and engaged its driver, identified as Angela Harrison.
Harrison proceeded to offer the crazy explanation to the officers, saying that she had crossed paths with a former patron from her tenure at the Waffle House merely an hour earlier at a nearby gas station. She continued to disclose to law enforcement that the individual in question tendered her a sum of $10 in cash alongside the keys to the Jeep, citing her forthcoming 53rd birthday as the impetus for the generous gesture.
However, the narrative took a serious turn when investigators uncovered that the Jeep had been reported stolen before the Christmas season. Consequently, Harrison found herself in handcuffs, facing charges of possessing a stolen vehicle.
Adding complexity to the unfolding saga, it was revealed that the original owner of the Jeep had tragically passed away the preceding year. Subsequently, the vehicle was rightfully returned to the deceased owner’s bereaved family.
In the world of odd birthday gifts, a stolen Jeep takes the cake… and this lady almost drove away with it!
