JUST IN: 8 skaters ejected after a massive fight breaks out between the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils.
This is insane.
Immediately after the game started, all 10 skaters started brawling.
The fight apparently stemmed from an incident earlier in the month when Rangers… pic.twitter.com/R7aPVQDrSa

A game between the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils kicked off with an intense brawl involving all 10 players on the ice right after the opening faceoff.
The focal point of the skirmish was the clash between Rangers forward Matt Rempe and New Jersey’s Kurtis MacDermid, whose rivalry had brewed since the Devils’ last visit to Madison Square Garden on March 11. Their altercation extended beyond the other four fights, continuing at center ice.
As a result of the brawl, eight players—four from each team—were ejected from the game just 2 seconds after it began due to receiving game misconducts. This left both teams with four fewer skaters for the remainder of the match.
Those ejected from the Rangers included defensemen Jacob Trouba and K’Andre Miller, forward Barclay Goodrow, and Rempe. On the Devils’ side, defensemen Kevin Bahl and John Marino, and forwards Chris Tierney and MacDermid also received early exits.
In addition to their ejections, all 10 players involved received five-minute fighting penalties. Despite the chaos, Rangers forward Jimmy Vesey and Devils’ Curtis Lazar were allowed to stay in the game since their altercation occurred first and did not result in further disciplinary action.
