Silver-Haired Heist: Italy’s Geriatric Gang of Bandits – A Plot Fit for DeNiro, Freeman, Nicholson, and Caine
In a storyline straight out of a Hollywood script featuring Robert DeNiro, Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson, and Michael Caine, a group of six men in their 60s and 70s has been apprehended in Italy.
Their alleged crime? “Carrying out several armed burglaries at post offices” across the country. While all members had prior run-ins with the law, the self-proclaimed “leaders” boasted “particularly impressive” criminal records dating back to the groovy 1970s.
Remarkably structured for a crew of seniors, the gang included three top members, a lock specialist, and two bricklayers responsible for creating the covert “holes” used to infiltrate post offices.
One can’t help but wonder why are they robbing Post Offices…Are they aspiring stamp collectors?
