Suspect Leaves Personalized Souvenir at Coin Shop Crime Scene
Imagine breaking into a coin shop and then leaving behind a clue with your own name on it. Well, meet Robert McGee – the guy who made that rookie mistake in Tacoma, Washington. In December, he thought he had it all figured out. Sneaking into Bellevue Rare Coin through a cinder block wall, he even outsmarted the motion sensor with a clever pole trick.
But here’s where it gets good – he left a crowbar at the scene, and guess what? It had “McGee” engraved on it. Classic blunder, right?
As if that wasn’t enough, tips started pouring in about McGee hauling bags of gold, silver bars, and coins. Police raided his place and his mom’s – jackpot! Now, he’s facing burglary and other charges.
Maybe he thought the shop was running a “name the thief” contest? Spoiler alert: He won… a trip to jail, courtesy of the finest boys in blue!
