WEST FARGO (KFGO) – Priests and church members from North Dakota who were touring Holy sites when the war broke out in Israel have made progress toward getting home.
Sen. John Hoeven says the 85 people on the trip left Israel by bus and made it to Jordan. He says he along with Sen. Kevin Cramer’s office have been working with the US State Dept. to ensure their safe return to the US. Some of the travelers have arranged flights home while others are still working to secure them.
Father Phil Ackerman of Holy Cross Catholic Church in West Fargo is on the trip and he’s spoken with Hoeven.
Those on the trip are mostly from parishes in Fargo, West Fargo and Grand Forks.
