WEST FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – A North Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper’s car was struck while investigating a two-vehicle crash on I-94 in West Fargo.
The trooper was outside the vehicle with the emergency lights on and saw the car coming but was able to get out of the way. The car struck the patrol vehicle pushing it into a car that was involved in the previous collision.
The driver of the car that struck the cruiser, identified as 30-year-old Al Brownell of Fargo, was wearing a seatbelt and the airbags deployed. He was not injured.
The trooper was not injured. No one was in the patrol vehicle or the car it was pushed into during the collision.
The Cass County Sheriff’s office is investigating the incident.
