ST. PAUL, Minn. – Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a crash that killed a child and injured four others Saturday night near Maplewood.
The State Patrol says an SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed onto Highway 61 when it rolled into the ditch and landed upside in water.
Troopers say one-year-old Revon Todd was extricated from underneath the vehicle and later died. 5-year-old old Drevon Todd, 6-year-old Devon Todd, 32-year-old Kenneth Williams Junior of Mounds View, and the driver, 28-year-old Rachale Peloquin, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The report says Peloquin is suspected of driving drunk.
