A New Zealand woman set a Guinness World Record by running barefoot across Lego bricks in 24.75 seconds. Gabrielle Wall completed the 100-meter sprint over loose Lego pieces in Christchurch. The 328-foot track contained 661 pounds of Lego bricks donated by Imagination Station, a nonprofit focused on robotics education. Wall prepared for two months by going barefoot to develop calluses, even attending a wedding without shoes. “I am proud to have pushed myself to new limits,” Wall told Guinness World Records. The record organization noted the mother-of-two has “probably stepped on the plastic bricks more times than she can count.” Guinness said Wall wore sunglasses “presumably to hide her tears from the pain of standing on all that Lego.” Wall plans to attempt more Lego-related records involving building rather than running.
