Chino Police in Southern California have recovered about $30,000 worth of stolen Labubu dolls from a warehouse. The collectible items have recently surged in popularity. Two juvenile suspects, who worked at the warehouse, were identified as the thieves. Police executed a search warrant and found 14 boxes of the stolen dolls, evidence the suspects planned to resell them nationwide. The suspects were booked for burglary and conspiracy. This recovery comes as authorities in Los Angeles County investigate a separate $7,000 Labubu theft from a store in La Puente. Police praised the “outstanding teamwork” that led to the case’s closure, highlighting the growing demand for the collectibles. (Newser)
