A former U.S. Postal Service letter carrier admitted to a three-year conspiracy to steal credit/debit cards and checks from the mail, using them to fund luxury purchases and international travel. Mary Ann Magdamit, 31, earned $56,000 annually but used her Instagram to document her lavish lifestyle, including trips, designer goods, and a Tesla. After over 100 cards were reported stolen on Magdamit’s route, an investigation led to her being caught red-handed sorting stolen mail. When authorities searched her home, they recovered 133 credit/debit cards, 16 Treasury checks, and 18 stolen gift cards. Magdamit pled guilty to bank fraud conspiracy, facing up to 30 years in prison. (The Smoking Gun)
