A recent study of 2,000 Americans found that the average bedtime for Americans is 11:18 p.m. The study delved into participants’ nighttime routines, showing that the average person begins their bedtime routine at 10:15 p.m. and is in bed by 10:36 p.m. On average, it takes about forty minutes for individuals to fall asleep. The survey, conducted by Talker Research for Avocado Green Mattress, also highlighted that respondents often wish they had gone to bed earlier three mornings per week. Additionally, the study explored how sharing a bed with a partner affects sleep quality, with reasons ranging from snoring to different nighttime routines. The survey also examined how parents anticipate the back-to-school season impacting their sleep patterns, with many expecting to get less sleep due to earlier wake-up times and additional responsibilities.
