Sean “Diddy” Combs will remain in jail ahead of his sentencing hearing, as his recent motion for bail has been denied. Judge Arun Subramanian stated that Combs “fails to satisfy his burden to demonstrate an entitlement to release.” Combs was acquitted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, but was found guilty of two lesser counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Prosecutors are recommending a sentence of four to five years in prison, including the nearly 11 months Combs has already spent behind bars since his arrest in September 2024. In their motion, Combs’ lawyers argued that Combs was simply facilitating “amateur porn,” not running a prostitution business. However, the judge found their argument did not provide an “exceptional reason” for his immediate release and cited Combs’ history of domestic violence, which was “impossible to police with conditions.” (Variety)
